I’ve had a big upheaval of shadow shit come up in the last few weeks. It. Was. Intense. As uncomfortable as these feelings made me, I sat with them. Honored them. Felt them. And am continuing to heal old wounds, as I will be for the rest of my life. Yay growth!
There are a lot of things going on in the world. The pandemic. The resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement. There are a lot of things happening in the universe: The full moon/lunar eclipse. Mercury in retrograde. These events bring up our shadows -- the dark scary parts of ourselves that we want to ignore.
In this episode, I discuss the power of meditation and mindfulness in shadow work. These tools can help us elevate in many ways including helping us on our anti-racist journey. I discuss this as someone also on their anti-racist journey and certainly not an anti-racist expert.
I talk about my journey to mindfulness. Where it all started, why it started, what disastrous things happened that finally pulled me into the world of mindfulness and meditation. I also explain why mindfulness is so critical to personal development.
I also explain how meditation and mindfulness can help you address your judgment, racism, sexism, homophobia, and other types of discriminatory thoughts, which we all have.
Listen to grow.
